Earlier in this podcast season we explored your bath remodel “why” and the dreams you have for your home. But there are some very practical reasons to remodel a bathroom.

Even a really great time capsule bathroom might need to change. (I know! I heard that gasp!)

But if you’re going to invest in a bathroom upgrade or take out original features you want to make sure you do it right.

Most of you reading this would move mountains to save a great original bath. And sometimes you can! But as I mentioned above, there are situations where a bathroom just needs to change. Like when:

  • There’s something going wrong in there. 
  • It’s not suiting your life properly.
  • Other spaces need to change around it.

Your mid-century bathroom is a bit of a drama queen.

19 min readMid-Century bathrooms are pretty dramatic. They are complicated spaces with bunch needs jammed into a very small footprint.

A bathroom has to have storage, work surfaces, multiple plumbing fixtures, a variety of lighting…and it all has to look beautiful. PLUS it has house all of that in a space with fluctuating levels of humidity and temperature changes.
